we cannot earn redemption

we cannot buy it, the price has been paid

we owe our lives to the free gift of Jesus

the blood that he spilled on Calvary’s plain

we cannot earn redemption

it is a free gift of God’s grace

Christ descended, the Messiah from heaven

to atone for our sins, to take our place
