within Him, dying to the old
to our will, to our sin
rising out of the waters
conformed to Christ
children of God
guided by the Spirit
forever different, set apart
yoke to our brother
sharing in his sacrifice
in the work he left
for us to continue
God’s transforming powers
celebrated, remembered
in the waters of baptism
