The Garden Finite

While we may not know the limits
the garden finite, with boundaries
our world precious, unique
given into our trembling hands

Made of the earth
the stuff of our clay
man too finite
returning to the dust

Hew for a time only
each to do their part
to tend, not to abuse,
the garden, this good earth
