Describing His Ministry

In responding to other disciples
those of his cousin John
describing his ministry
fulfilling the prophets of old

Acting out the scripture
in his healing hands
bringing wholeness and complete
to this troubled land

Good news for the poor
of the kingdom of God
blessed not in the things of this earth
grounded instead in God

Redeemed by grace
not by works here on earth
faith enough to make us whole
restored to God by Christ
