Focus on His Advent
not on the stores, the glitter,
the quest for the newest thing
the soulless search for stuff
Contemplate that day
when Christ came from heaven
drinking of the cup of sacrifice
pouring his power out
Deciding to leave the heavens
His glory, His throne
walking as a man
making earth His home
The power of His love
to give up His life
going to the cross for us
that we may truly live
