In the coming of Friday
prayers for the whole region
especially for Libya
that the blood of the martyrs
would not run in the streets
that the tyrants, the madman
would leave the stage
that the tribes, the people
would turn a new page
no more of Gaddafi
however you spell his name
his green book, his ranting
which makes him appear insane
hope for this nation
rising up in freedom
that the people would have peace
after so many years of repression
In the coming of Friday
hope new again
prayers for the people
coming out into free air
