eating of the bread, the wine
remembering Christ’s sacrifice
his going to the cross
As sacrament of hope
the proof of God’s love
coming down to earth
going to the cross
Becoming empty
poured out of his divinity
humble, as a servant
paying the price for me
Here at the table
set out for us
remember what Christ did
how he humbly died for us
