And they followed

We see so many
after these first ones
who struggled, grown silent
not following the Christ
heeding the world
stumbling away
not able to follow
still to this day

The first ones, prophetic
standing with Jesus
hearing his call,
come and see,
come and follow
new fruits to harvest
and they followed the Savior
as sheep to the Shepherd
