They were guilty of sin

They who led the people
who read the law, the prophets
who studied God’s words
guilty of sin, of failing
to listen to him
of failing to believe
they should have know
Christ right here before them
fulfilling all that was written
the Word made flesh here with us
they should have led us to Him
