Thirsty for our Faith

In the breath-prayer of the Messiah
Christ hanging on the cross
crying out his thirst
but more meaning than that
Thirsty for our faith
for our belief in God
turning from the way of the world
focused on the cross

I thirst
(John 19:28).
It is finished
(John 19:30).
Father, into your hands I commit my spirit
(Luke 23:46).
