When it appeared we have no Savior

The disciples despondent
Christ’s family bereft
when it seemed like all was hopeless
when it appeared we have no Savior
when Christ was buried in the ground
Christ rose on Sunday
on the first day of the week
raised on the third day
just as the Messiah had said
Victory in Jesus, our exalted head
life in our Savior
by his life we are fed
