God is our Good Judge

(A psalm of Solomon)

God is our good judge, we know justice.
He makes us seek comfort in his statutes,
he leads us into his chambers,
he refreshes our faith in goodness.
He guides us in the ways of the Law
for the sake of the human social contract.

Even when we walk through the darkest trial
We shall fear no man, no injustice,
for our wise counsel is with us;
your gavel and your judgments,
they give us protection, assurance.

You prepare a strong case before us
in the presence of our harshest opponents.
You brief us for the witness stand;
We are well prepared for the challenge.
Surely your loyalty and advocacy will follow each of us
beyond the term of this matter, this trial,
and we shall live within in the courts of our Judge always.
