Ready to forgive – 2

Not keeping a ledger
though it would be bulging
a listing of our sin
our estrangement from God
open to our loving hearts
ready to forgive us
God, in his mercy,
ready to accept us
loving us enough
when we wait for him
He will lift us from the pit
he will deliver us from sin
