we spread our hands

we spread our hands
(at least in our minds)
we join the prayer,
the praise of the Holy One
the blessings of God

we mirror their actions,
we too enter the dance
joined, together,
even when we are seated
sharing these pews

we spread our hands

murmuring with them
the blessings of God.
