Jesus is my candidate – v5

No matter who I will vote for
for President, on the ballot
I know freedom isn’t free
someone paid the price
Jesus died for me

Jesus is my candidate
the Savior of the world
more than all the kings
the hope of all nations
God’s living Word

He didn’t have to come
he chose to walk the earth
living as man, dying as thief
only through the gate of Christ
do we have new birth

Yes, Jesus is my candidate
the one who set me free
who came because of love
giving up his crown
to die for you and me
