Carrying Judgment

a weight on our backs,
on our very lives
righteous indignation
anger at injustice
heaped on those we love
yet carrying judgment
an earthly distraction
keeping us from the stuff of life
from our purpose on this journey
needing to let go
to leave and not return
to leave the cares at the cross
leaving them to God
we cannot fix this
the hurt unaddressed
let go of the anger
forgive all the rest
