happy in our mess

our gardens needing tending
our souls a mess
but be happy in our journey
our struggles, our tests

like the wheat and tares
all planted together
growing, dying
some places bright
others dark, forbidding

a beautiful mess
our journey, our souls
a garden to tend
to water with the word
to feed for the harvest
a bounty for the Lord
