bright, shimmering colors

words of mettle, of power

written on the page

tasting the fragrance

meaning in an image

alive within imagination

a fantasy, awash

alive with living color

a banquet, a feast

tasting the words

the image on the screen

“The brain tasting”

series of poems based on

segment on how babies,

when they are wearing a brain cap,

to do EEG measurements, don’t always

have the visual cortex light up

when they see something but sometimes

have the auditory cortex light up,

as if they are hearing the image, the colors.

at about 6:15 minutes to about 8:45  minutes
