A year ago we completed a
journey
of faith, of hope, of love
A different anniversary
than our first, before God
Our first, a year and four
month ago,
was a first sharing of I
do’s,
our joining before God and
friends
under a snow filled sky
out in God’s creation
Today is the first
anniversary
of our covenant before You
in our house of faith
joining our hands and hearts
not in contract but in
a loving covenant
How I love you more today
a richer, deeper commitment
a more mature love
as we continue our journey
in another season
together, under God
