yanked, twisted,
wanting only to listen
to advocate for justice
for peace in this situation
the warring factions
battle lives written
in the midst of the
conflagration
standing in the crucible
the fire of passion
in the switchbacks of
conversation
some picking hard sides
polar positions
is this the model
the way of empathy
needing to reach consensus
hearing divergent voices
but not valuing their input
