Christ knew her already
the woman at the well
waiting for her there
sending the disciples
away
opening up to her
his heart, his life
poured out
living water, precious
blood
the Messiah foretold
Christ welcomed her
her brokenness offered
healing
waiting for her there
as he alone had done
Christ knew her already
her whole history, her
struggle
offering her living water
water that she would share
the news of his coming
for the woman at the well
the Messiah long foretold
the water she would share
