Walking Down to Camp – v2

Through the woods,
dense around me
walking to the camp

A joy in the solitude, footsteps
on the soft dirt road,
a verdant garden,
forever damp in shadow

lush woods, forest, with
the scent of pine, of decay,
of growing plants, ripe berries
of bubbling brook,

green and brown forest
lost in thought,
in the present captive
