Humble Penitence – v3

Within our thanks giving

our offering of praise

thanks to our Father

who has given us so much

humble penitence

for our continuing in our sin

Forgetting our Father

the One who has given us all

believing we are the source

the reason for our abundance

Humble penitence to God

that we would return to Him.

Without thanksgiving

humble before the Father

turning, rejecting,

leaving our sin

we deny Him, disobey, hurt Him

our sin keeping Christ

upon the cross
