Don’t put on airs
as if you are better
than you sister,
your brother
but be joyful
for you are forgiven
In the eyes of God
none of us righteous
all of us sinners
failing under the Law
Yet all of us children
sons and daughters of God
all of us worthy, made whole
through the sacrifice of
Christ
All of us called, wooed
to the way, the path, to the
light
an indwelling Spirit
guiding us ever
with God’s love
that burns so bright
