Memory is a fiction – v9

What we believe we know
more certain than anything
our history, the moments
the events of our lives
clear in our memory
as if written on stone

yet memory is a fiction
a creation of the now
We recast our memories
our history to our purpose
how we feel now, this moment
reshaping the fabric of our past
