why are we here
sitting in worship
wasting another hour
if we don’t believe
God will join us
that the Spirit will come
into our presence
that all of this is nothing
that there is no reason
expecting to meet God
coming into presence
sitting in the pew
expecting to be blessed
worshipping fully
sensing the Spirit
as if the stained glass
images
of Christ, of the angels
would come alive
and join us in worship
we come together joyful
when we sense the presence
the gift of the Savior
of the Spirit, the Word
speaking to us, palpable
changing our lives, our
course
seeking to guide us to Him
to Almighty God, our Creator
the Son, the Savior
the living presence, the
Spirit
leading us home
