in the stillness of the
morning
before dawn breaking
the waves far off in the
distance
a low-tide dawning
with God on that beach
as I sipped my first
coffee
lost, or found, in prayer
waking on this morning
in the stillness of the
morning
sensing the presence
God with us here
on the beach this morning
