we run like they did
nothing so different
our lives like theirs were
mired in our clay
in the stuff of the earth
chased by our own demons
no different really than they were
Wanting to believe
to come beside our Master
but running when He was captured
not standing by the Christ
in our times of struggle
running just like they did
out into the dark night
