The debt Christ didn’t owe – v2

Choosing the cross
a path God had written
dying for the lost
that we may live again;
Descended from glory
taking on the Yoke
the Mantle of the Servant
become our Sacrifice

Putting on our sin, our shame
a garment, heavy
the debt Christ didn’t owe
going to the cross;
Become the Lamb
an offering, perfect, unblemished,
dying that we might live
if we will follow His example

Choosing servanthood
humbly going, doing
the Master’s will
the work of Salvation;
Putting on the tomb
a cloak of death
rising in victory
going as He has led
