shards of our heart
forgetting our Savior
pieces dripping with blood
with the hurt of loss, of
persecution,
our broken spirits crying
yet the shards of our heart
cleaving ever to them
not wanting to let go
even of the painful
of this burden we carry
of the ache in our hearts
of the longing remaining
