The cats pressed, whiskers
alert
leaves outside the window
wonderfully alive
moving in concert
as if stitched together
the dance they are moving
as if by a hidden hand
spinning and turning
the puppeteer of life
urging us, pulling,
guiding them ever
dancing and spinning
wonderfully alive
a blessing to us
watching their dance
our hope in the desert
