Christ came
for the fallen, the hurting
for the
prisoners, the captives
yearning to
be free
not to the
healthy, the righteous
for those comfortable,
well off.
We must cleave
to the hurting
to those
who are estranged
to take
care of the sick
those who
appear tired
struggling
just to survive.
We are to heed,
to follow
our
Master’s example
to bring
Him to the sick
those
considered others
by people just
like us.
