What was the Master
saying,
such words I have never
heard
these new words of Christ,
shared with us in the
open
here on the mountain;
Words so different than
what we have been taught
sitting at His feet, listening,
with the multitude that
day.
Staring with the others,
at Jesus,
all of us with mouths
open wide,
not believing completely
these new words He spoke;
But knowing these new
words
were important, changing
our lives;
A new way of
understanding blessedness
hearing these new words
of life
from the lips of our
Master.
