an empty space, a loneliness,
a sense of despair
when I cannot feel God
when I feel abandoned
when the tides rise
and I fall into the
darkness
an empty space, an
emptiness
a pit of the world’s
making
seeking to drown me
to feed the fears within
me
longing to separate me
from God
