each moment, each second

choice we make in life
we
must choose the path
we
must stand close to the cross
leading
in the way of Jesus
walking
in His footsteps
on
the path that God has written
we
must not waiver, falter,
our
steps must not stray
we
must stand close to the cross
walking
boldly, certain
on
the path that God has written
hearing
the Spirit calling
to
the way of the Christ
if
we are to be Christ’s disciples
if
we are to be His followers
we
must stand close to the cross
emulating
our servant master
we
must be light bearers, witnesses
offering
love, mercy, justice
walking
on the path God has written
