their eyes had not yet been opened


they didn’t understand Christ’s words
though He was speaking plainly to them
He used metaphors, parables, from their lives
but they could not understand Him
because their eyes had not yet been opened
they would need His death, His resurrection
they would need the breath of the Spirit
for them to gain their vision
