The story began anew,
the steps of fulfillment
immediately revealed,
the ancient text alive
in the Jordan,
where he was baptized
An anointing by water,
by the spirit falling like a dove
upon him, in the storied river,
being washed by John,
anointed by the dove,
the voice from heaven
a son well blessed
starting his journey
in the Jordan
