At God’s Time

We plant, we water
watch for growth,
for change, in human time,
by the calendar, the closk
the change of seasons,
the cycles of measured life

The harvest, of the garden we tend
in God’s time alone
Kairos not Chronos time alone

We are to be faithful,
toiling in our time
ready for harvest
at God’s appointed hour
