An invisible fence, a particular barrier
living within our minds, our hearts alone
that what we do is not enough
that somehow God’s grace
is not open to us, that we have failed
that our sin is greater
All have sinned and fallen short of the law
all needing God’s love, the son’s sacrifice
the gift, unmerited, of salvation
No fence exists, to keep us from God
if we but love him; we are equally blessed
God loves us as we are now
