We will receive Power

We are waiting as they were
ready, waiting, trusting, living in community
for the fulfillment of this promise
that we will receive power, that we
will be given what we need, by the holy spirit
equipping us, to spread Christ’s love
God’s love to the ends of the earth
that we will be infused, emboldened, enabled
at God’s appointed time, a divine appointment
to spread the message of love
to the outermost reaches, the whole world
