Before We Ask

Before we ask, before we bow in prayer
God is working, to answer, to lift us up
to comfort our troubled souls
to reach down and lift us up
to care for his children
whether we are listening or not
there in the joys, there too in the struggles
in the challenges of life
Before we ask, he is with us
