A Call to Discipleship

In the message, the service, the worship today
a call to discipleship, to walk as they did
to take the mantle of the work of Christ
to heal in his holy name
To reach our brother, our sister in pain
to look upon their face
To call upon the name of Christ
follow his call for our lives
to heed the cries of our neighbors
to go where we are led

Call to Worship:
Let us praise God, the creator of heaven and Earth.
Let us seek God with open minds and open hearts.
May we feel the Holy spirit among us.
As the Scriptures are read and the Word proclaimed,
as prayers and music are offered, may we receive with
joy and thanksgiving what is offered for us.
Unison Prayer:
Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all
desires known, and from you no secrets are
hidden. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the
inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may love
you with our whole self, and worthily praise your
holy name. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer of Dedication:
Loving God, the giver of all that is good; our lives
are blessed daily by your gifts. Help us to receive
your gifts with such gratitude, that we will be giving,
as you are to us. We pray that through us the whole
world will know the gift of your generous love in
Jesus Christ, the one who gave his life for us, and for
the whole world.
