Embers Glowing

The smoldering embers
the planting of the law, the teachings
your holy word, your hands forming each of us
deep within, in the recesses
the silent places of our hearts

Embers glowing, the fire of the Spirit
burning white, new, changing us
transforming followers, disciples
Leaders, teachers,
messengers of your love

Embers a fire, a burning within
to share your love, your gift of grace
the Holy Spirit burning
giving fire to our faith
and passion to our praise
