The Gift of the Counselor

Beyond imagination, the words
words we cannot find
a voice, a groan, sighs from within
He is there, the gift of the counselor
from the depths
speaking to God, sharing with him
in our prayers, in our weakness
His strength to carry on
to strive after the things of God
within us, beating with our hearts
the Spirit indwelling within
begun on the day of fire
the birth of our church
hope in our faith
