Like a Freight Train

Like a steam engine, a freight train
roaring on ethereal tracks in the heavens
the presence of God, the Spirit
over the house where they were gathered

A cloud of flames, descending on each one
falling, onto, into, each one of their hearts
Words of love, words of power
in tongues they did not know

Speaking to those
who came into their midst
Words shared,
of the story of the Christ

A message of love,
shared in languages unknown
spreading the flames
like a brush fire
