With Power

With power they would preach
these timid souls reborn
the flames of Pentecost
falling down from heaven
the world to bring to thee

A wonder to behold
these men speaking in different tongues
the heart of many were transformed
by the one message
which they preached

The love of God
through the message of the Son
filled with the Spirit
the meek became lions
to share the word of God

So, we, each one
in our time and place
must be like them
those timid souls empowered
and step out in our faith
