Arguing with Christ

The Master, the Christ
telling them
the prophecy being fulfilled
Way of the cross
way of suffering;
not wanting the rest of the story
the Christ to die
to sacrifice
to go through the trials
the pain
Glory instead,
the kingdom now
this was their wish
based on their human understanding
Why must it happen as the Master said?
