Walking Away

Turning, walking away
sorrowful at the answer
the choice he could not make
To go and sell, to give away his possessions
to let go and trust, to follow the Christ
Too much to give up
He could not do this
even though he loved
and wanted to be saved
His possessions his idol
his focus not on God
