Following the Light

To be like the Magi,
the wise men of Matthew
following the light
to find its source
the Christ, the babe
born king of the Jews

Seeking him in the manger
in his lowly bed
the way of his ministry
the path of the cross
The joy of his resurrection
saving the world

The love, the grace of God
into the world, walking as a man
to set us free from our sin
Going, like the disciples
my nets at the shore
spreading his message
to the ends of the earth
