The Messiah before them

Unable to see, to believe
the Messiah before them
claiming the words of Isaiah
his ministry, his purpose in life

To offer hope, to set the captives free
after testing in the desert
revealing all to them

Claiming the words of the prophecy
fulfilled in their hearing
unable to comprehend
the man they knew
come to set them free
